Integral ecology: a concrete and dynamic path
The deliberation of GC XXIV asks us to undertake a "concrete and continuous path of conversion to integral ecology, taking on the seven online objectives of Laudato si', in the spirit of the Preventive System". Pope Francis' encyclical, published in 2015 and inspired by St. Francis of Assisi, ignited an increasingly lively debate throughout the world that involved not only believers, but "all people of good will"...
The Pope thus managed to arouse "profound concern and precious reflection on these issues" (LS7) which stimulated the creativity, commitment, and industriousness of many, to find real and lasting solutions to face the current ecological crisis. The well-known Laudato si' platform with its 7 objectives, represents a valid aid for developing concrete, small, and daily actions, tailored to the individual and the community that lead towards a new lifestyle.
In line with the Chapter resolution, our magazine DMA intends to explore the theme of Integral Ecology this year, divided into four themes, one for each issue, inspired by the 7 objectives of Laudato si'...
